Some weeks ago Charles and his sisters (visit) their American cousins Amy and Matthew Baxter in New York. One of the things they (love) most was their visit to Niagara Falls, where they (spend) one day.
Amy: "(you / see) waterfalls like these before?"
Tina: " No, never. They (be) really great. (they / turn) into ice in winter?"
Amy: "No, certainly not. The water (never / stop) running."
Carol: "(somebody / ever / try) to go down Niagara Falls in a boat?"
Amy: (You / not hear) the news? On 3 October Kirk Jones, a guy from the Midwest, (go) down the falls without anything at all! He (wear) nothing but his clothes.
People (gossip) about this crazy man (ever, since / for) his crazy action."
Kevin: "Why (he / do) do that?" (he, want, kill, oneself) ?"
Amy: "That (be) probably the case. When they (shut down) the company where he (work) for sixteen years, he (feel) very depressed." But he (have / pay) much money because it's not allowed to go down Niagara Falls!
